I love Topshop! And the news that "Biba" designer Barbara Hulanicki will be doing an exclusuve capsule collection for Topshop got me all up and jumping. Biba may not ring a bell but in Europe, this British retail company is pretty much legendary. I'll give you a little history. Barbara Hulanicki founded Biba in 1964. It started as a hip and exclusive London boutique and had grown into a fashionable department store in the 1970s. Biba closed in 1975, but designer Bella Freud is relaunching the label.

Biba and Topshop today have much in common, both are fashion-forward and affordable. So I'd really love to see what Hulanicki would infuse to Topshop's collection and it had been released last April 28.
"They approached me to do a collection that didn't look like Biba," says Hulanicki, who took her fashion illustrations and the vibrant colour palette of her Miami home as inspiration for the range. "I sent off lots of drawings and prints to Topshop and we waded through them." The result is a split in sartorial personality, or rather clothes for "good girl and bad girl dressing", with a "beach party" influence.
