So back to my promise. I'll be showing you guys more of our weekend in Bacolod. Since we had Tito Chuck to drive us around the city. We were able to maximize our time. But we never really expected that in the midst of the sugar canes, and rough road, was a gem. I mean it's quite uncommon for us Filipinos to find something like this.
I swear I made the "ooh" sound when we first arrived. Welcome to Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson Mansion...or what's left of it.
Inside "The Ruins" while waiting for the rain to stop. I love the architecture. Imagine how it may have looked if the place wasn't burned. I can just imagine the beauty.
If you want to know more of the history. Here's my daughter, Kiara's blog about the place. She listened the entire time and was able to memorize basically everything that the guide said.
What can I say, my daughter's a brainiac! Enough said.
Here's our family picture. We look odd! While my dad fits right into the scene. Seems like he's made for this kinda life.
Current Mood: bored.
