I was supposed to watch this movie while I was still in Iloilo but schedule wouldn't always permit. So one fine day, I took the time off to watch the Bond franchise Quantum of Solace.

Jason was discouraging me to watch it since he'd always say: "It's just another action movie." Well, I'm here to confirm that statement. Where Casino Royale was bright, shiny and breathtaking, Quantum of Solace is cold, steely, and flat. Sure sure, explosions and that good old brawl but isn't enough to make a action movie success.
SUMMARY:
Daniel Craig reprises his role as superspy James Bond, who is still consumed by anger at having been betrayed by Vesper Lynd, the woman he loved. Still, he wishes to take revenge on the company that blackmailed Vesper and in his search, he and M (Judi Dench) uncover the plans of Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), the shady leader of an environmentalist company, to take control of Bolivia's water supply from the equally shady General Medrano (JoaquĂn Cosio). In the midst of all this, Bond meets Camille (Olga Kurylenko), who has her own vengeful plan in mind for General Medrano. Camille and Bond then become partners in crime (literally) in their efforts to take down Dominic and Medrano.

As a movie critique, I think the movie failed. But let's talk about fashion. Daniel Craig wears suits designed entirely by Tom Ford in the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. Costume designer Louise Frogley loves the Forbulous suits. "They're not clothes where you know where you can buy them, there's more mystery," she said. Yes, I do agree that the suits were crisp, I would have wanted my man to wear those too.

Ford says he tried to dress Craig simply:
"By dressing him in a very simple way, it accentuates that it looks simple on the surface but it isn't. It's a metaphor for the perfect suit — the construction that goes into a good suit is a lot of hours of handiwork, but you shouldn't see any of that it the end result. It should look easy and natural and a part of you … I do design things that are more extravagant, but that wouldn't be right for Daniel Craig or Bond. Bond wears more of a uniform."
