Marc Jacobs seems to have started something with his Louis Vuitton bunny ears. Madonna wore the Vuitton ears to the Met Gala; the Olsens wore lace versions by Maison Michel this week at the Opening Ceremony party in Japan; and now Lady Gaga is on the cover of September's NEO2 wearing another set of lace ears by Maison Michel.

When exactly did it start? It was when bunny-eared model stepped onto the Louis Vuitton Fall catwalk.

But why the bunny ears? According to Marc Jacobs, "There's a girl who works for us, Lucy, she's on the design team, and Adrian, one of the boys, was tying a little bit of fabric around and it reminded me of bunny. We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around Lucy's head and said: Bunny ears, that's what we need to finish this look."
I'm not sure if you'll see me with any of those soon, but I'm seriously contemplating about it.

call me old-fashioned, but I think they're just plain weird.
