OMG! I'm so looking forward to this. It's like the anticipation I have for The Time Traveller's Wife. I was a big The Notebook fan, and this latest adaptation from Notebook scribe Nicholas Sparks, Dear John could mean another box of tissue down the drain. The story focuses on a soldier home on leave (Channing Tatum) then falls for an "idealistic college student" (Amanda Seyfried) during her Spring vacation. Over the course of seven years the soldier's deployment becomes increasingly dangerous and means rarely seeing each other with the challenge of keeping their affair alive through overseas love letters that "eventually triggers fateful consequences."

Directed by Lasse Hallström (helmer behind The Cider House Rules) Dear John stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried, and will be hitting screens on February 5.
